Let's use the treadmill. This time...for exercise!

Posted by
Sunder (Chennai, India) on 14 September 2010 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

Blow!! Its time to burn those extra calories....After devouring "Kozhukattais" by the dozens and all other goodies which are very fattening, I think some work-out is in order.

Yes, that is my treadmill- which is more often used as a clothesline / dryer for my towels and shirts....

Having invested in it, I think ( & have been thinking so for the last 10 months..) I might as well do something about the ever expanding waistline..after this festival I am begining to resemble Lord Ganesha from waist line point of view. They love to grow..these waistlines...!!

Luke Wiley from Spokane Washington, United States

I use one every day!

Amusing your cliché and your words it is true that often, it kinds of materials(equipments) are not too much of use to the everyday life yes, funny photo;-)))

✿ Anina ✿ from Auckland, New Zealand

Hahaha!! It sounds like mine... I must admit they are very good for hanging clothes over ;) The excercise bike is a wonderful clothers rack as well... :)

14 Sep 2010 6:12am

marci from somewhere in..., Morocco

isn't it interesting that it is a universal truth that these are well suited as clothes racks and towel dryers! nice soft light~

14 Sep 2010 6:19am

Tede from Aubenas 07, France

I laughed with your text. Now we get to sport to lose the extra pounds :)) Good day.

Nina from Haute Loire, France

You make me smile! but you are right ... But I prefer to burn calories walking in nature and breathe the fresh air!

14 Sep 2010 7:19am

Cruz from exurbia, United States

Shucks! It’s such a good clothes rack! I’m with Nina on this one...2 miles or so every day outside is a good way to start the day and take a few pictures along the way too! Have a good day Sunder!

Many uses are possible, but the most important is to continue the fitness' one

14 Sep 2010 8:22am

kiwisa from North Shore, New Zealand

LOL - at least it has multiple uses.

14 Sep 2010 8:35am

Adela Fonts from Barcelona, Spain

One other way to use your time! I prefer a good book sitting in a comfortable lounge chair to receive the caress of the breeze in my face! Life is so short that deserves to be lived with their heads rather than with a good figure! And the pleasure to walk (30 minutes per day ...) to l'seashore? A hug Adela

Tamara from Aarschot, Belgium

I sold mine a few years ago on Ebay ;) Hahaha... it's always the same with these kind of things, I start full of enthusiasm and after a few weeks I give up ;) Happy ST Sunder :)

Firstly, thankyou for checking out the tutorial, I've taken on-board your very valuable and concise comments and made your requested changes. I think that I have e-mail problems-I did say thankyou in writing but I suspect that my e-mails aren't getting to people.
Haha, Love the shot. Yep, keeping waistlines under control is a constant battle-and one that I've lost!
Love the idea of comparing your waistline with Lord Ganesha's- I truly hope it hasn't got that far-that would be a big battle to get it back!

grouser from Ludlow, United Kingdom

I have never been able to grasp why one would want to walk indoors when you can walk outside. Nicely documented though :)

14 Sep 2010 10:44am

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

It is one of the great truisms across every culture that waistlines have a tendency to expand! Glad to hear you had an enjoyable festival period, even though it further contributed to the above mentioned truism! Keep fighting the good fight Sunder! ;-)

A great image of this piece of equipment, Sunder. I use one of these from time to time but use an elliptical cross-trainer more. I find the later to be less boring and more sustainable.

I love it! Your words made me laugh because I have a weight machine in my house.. it is used to drape shirts or to rest boxes on the seat! Really.. I do intend to use it.. at some point in time. Thankfully I am not looking like Ganesha.. but still it would be better to be fit. Thanks for making me smile today!
