Posted by
Sunder (Chennai, India) on 22 January 2011 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

This is a hand made model of horse cart...which the glass blower materialised in front of our eyes in minutes.....

Phil David Morris from Saskatoon, Canada

I wonder if you know if there are a lot of glass blowers there in India?
I love their art, find it so very fascinating. Wonderful image.

@Phil David Morris: I am not sure how many are there in India... However, this person was at a heritage centre - at Chennai. His skills and dexterity were absolutely stunning...

It is always fascinating to see these artists at work! THe lighting in this shot really makes the figurine twinkle. I think this would be better presented with a side view shot Sunder! ;-)

A fine close up of this difficult-to-shoot glass model. I like how the highlights makes the picture show up so well. Nice shot.

Good evening Sunder,
When I saw the picture I immediately remembered the picture in the link below. Glass-making art is always nice to see. I am referring to my comment of 2010-09-28. Today's picture is also very interesting. My father was a professional glass blower. Have a nice weekend and all the best. Thank you very much for your nice comment. Dear greetings Christel
