Dawn breaking at Havelock Island, Andamans

Posted by
Sunder (Chennai, India) on 16 March 2015 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

After a pretty long hiatus of over 3 years ( my last post was on 26 Dec 2011), I am delighted to return back to aminus3 !!!.

( A recent holiday in Andamans led to clicking over 1650 pics and subsequent return to aminus3)

Havelock island is a lovely island known for its beaches - about 2 hour ferry trip from Port Blair.

Sunrise @ Havelock is best appreciated in the Kalapathar Beach. We went there well ahead @ 4-30 am and were fortunate to see the dawn breaking in and the initial streaks of sunrays lighting up the dark sky....Mesmerising indeed !!!

I like the ambiance of the beach scene. The warm glow of the sun on the damp beach and rocks is very attractive. Welcome back!
